Robert Burns Supper
Robert Burns is recognized as one of the most influential poets the world has known. His writings are prolific and are celebrated the world over. Burns' birthday, 25th January, is recognized worldwide by Robert Burns' Suppers that take many forms from rowdy bacchanalian gatherings to serious traditional functions that memorialize the great man. Ours is what you make it. The traditional procession of the Haggis with Society piper and drummer is followed by the rendition by our Bard of The Address to A Haggis. The toast to the Immortal Memory and the toast to the Lassies and the Lassies reply are augmented with recitations, music and dancing. The prelude to the evening includes the Celtic reception and whisky tasting and this is followed by a three course dinner and entertainment.
