David Templeton in Concert

Pianist, guitarist David Templeton brings to the stage, a passion of performance that is vibrant, rich and satisfying. The New Yorker calls him "One of the most accomplished and original new talents to hit the keyboards... thoroughly enjoyable". David has performed at Carnegie Hall, Benaroya Hall, The Chateau Saint Michelle Winery as well as the Paramount Theater and Jazz Alley. His music can be heard on many radio stations around the country.

David started composing on piano at the age of three and went on to master other numerous instruments including cello, violin and guitar, which he weaves into a rich tapestry of orchestrations and multi-track compositions on his many CDs. The Northwest Area Music Association nominated his second album "Promise" for Recording of the Year. David will be sharing many of his beautiful compositions and stories with us the night of the concert.

Along with his noted music career, David has been tutoring several of our students here at Glendale Lutheran School, a ministry of Glendale Evangelical Lutheran Church. Glendale provides hands-on learning and challenging academics tailored to match the needs of each or our students. Using relevant and creative core curriculum, performance and innovative art workshops, we nurture students within strong Christian education components.

All proceeds from the David Templeton Concert will provide funds for scholarships and expanding technology and arts programs in our school. By investing in these programs, we are preparing our students with the skills they need to be successful in today's world.
