Sushi: The Global Catch
In conjunction with NYC's first annual Sustainable Seafood Week, we are hosting a screening of the award winning documentary, "Sushi: The Global Catch". Going beyond the history, culture and culinary arts of sushi making, director Mark Hall examines the effects of the global industry on ocean life, sounding an alarm that must be heard by politicians, advocates and consumers worldwide.
Winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 2011 Seattle International Film Festival and the Audience Award at the 2012 San Francisco Green Film Festival, this film poses some important questions that all sushi lovers should give thought to before placing their next order of sushi.
With a special introduction by the filmmaker, Mark Hall, there will also be a Q&A following the screening.
