Siobhan Miller Haddington 700 Concert
Regarded as one of the foremost vocalists in Scotland, Siobhan Miller has won the Scots Singer of the Year award at the Scots Trad Awards no less than three times - the only artist to have achieved this level of recognition. At this year's BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, she was nominated for Folk Singer of the Year and won the award for the Best Traditional track. her most recent album, Strata, was nominated for Album of the Year at the Trad Awards, as was a previous album, Flight of the Times.
This concert has been specially organised to mark the closing of the Haddington 700 festivities. Haddington 700 is a year long celebration of events marking the anniversary of Robert the Bruce's charter to the town. The date of the concert - 6 December, is the exact date the charter was presented to the town in 1318.
It is fitting that the concert will be held in the very beautiful and historic St Mary's Parish Church, Haddington.
