It's been five jampacked years for Natascha Greenwalt Murphy and Christin Call, Co-founders, Dancers, Choreographers, and Artistic Collaborators of Coriolis Dance. To date Coriolis boasts a whopping 24 works in its repertoire, all original works created for the company by choreographers hailing from Vancouver, Idaho, Alaska, San Francisco, and Seattle with contributions by artists working in the visual arts, music, and fashion design.
For the 5th Anniversary of the Co-LAB Series, Coriolis looks back on some of these seminal works from Zoe Scofield (Princess Grace Award Winner), Rainbow Fletcher (Choreographer and dancer with the Can Can Castaways), Lauren Edson (dancer with the Trey McIntyre Project), Co-founders Natascha Greenwalt Murphy, and Christin Call and offers two new works by Call and Andrea Larreta (company member since Season 1).
Coriolis boasts a dynamic full company. Co-founders Christin Call and Natascha Greenwalt Murphy, and long time company members Andrea Larreta and Marissa Quimby will be joined by Coriolis alumni Danny Boulet and Sylvain Boulet with guest artists Joel Myers, Hannah Crowley, Roxanne Foster, Sean B. Cormack, and Philip Borunda.
Coriolis is an associated program of Shunpike and has been a grant recipient of the Washington State Arts Commission in conjunction with the National Endowment for the Arts, the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture, and Artist Trust's GAP Award. We are also proud to announce that this season Coriolis is a recipient of 4Culture's Sustained Support program.
