ALL OF HER SCARS WSZYSTKIE JEJ BLIZNY 2017, 37 min, Poland Polish with English subtitles dir. MAREK KOSOWICZ A film showing the struggle of Belli Galhos for the freedom of East Timor and the rights of women. It is a story full of suffering, but also love. Her life perfectly illustrates the problems that East Timor. In 1975, nine days after independence from Portugal, Timor-Leste was attacked by Indonesia. The brutal 24-year occupation completely destroyed the country, and every fourth citizen lost his life. The world looked away, while the Timorese people were brutally murdered, starved, and the Timorean women massively subjected of forced sterilization. Belli Galhos, who experienced all the suffering associated with the occupation as a teenager, fights for the freedom of her country. She is trying to make better life, especially to the least privileged ones, women and children.
ABORTED MISSION PRZERWANA MISJA 2018, 50 min, Poland Polish with English subtitles dir. PETRO ALEKSOWSKI Painfully frank stories of two veterans of the war in Afghanistan. The aborted mission ended up in a similar way for them. They are physically wounded and mentally scarred for life. Tomek treated the war as a chance to come to terms with his difficult childhood, Franek left his wife and newly-born child in Poland to go to war. Both of them had dreams that were confronted with the brutal reality of the armed conflict.
