Crossing Borders: Evolution of the Sonata (Early Music Access Project)
Join Early Music Access Project artists David McCormick (violin), Sarah Darling (violin), Niccolo Seligmann (viola da gamba), and Brian Kay (theorbo), for Crossing Borders, a look at the evolution of the baroque-era sonata as Italian, French, German, and Spanish influences merged to create a rich variety of textures and sounds.  The program includes music of well-known composers like Corelli, Couperin, and Geminiani alongside arrangements of Scottish and Spanish folk tunes.

During the concert, Artistic Director David McCormick will guide the audience through the many transformations of the sonata as it interacts with the cultures and traditions of various European countries.
