Music Together Concert with "Uncle Gerry" to Benefit Tompkins Corners Cultural Center
On Saturday, November 3, Music On Hudson will host a concert for young children and their families. The show will take place at, and will benefit,  Tompkins Corners Cultural Center, 729 Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley, NY.  Tickets will be $15 per adult and $5 per child.

The concert will feature favorite Music Together songs, and a special guest appearance by recording artist Gerry Dignan. Tall, gregarious, and usually singing, the Music Together recording artist is charismatic, warm, and altogether charming.  Just this year, Gerry has joined Music Together teachers and directors in more than 32 concerts across North America. He will come to Tompkins Corners following a 12-day visit to Music Together centers in China, with numerous Music Together gatherings.

"We are honored to welcome Gerry to TCCC to sing and dance with us in honor of Music On Hudsons 25th Anniversary. All of my families are very excited to hear Uncle Gerry's familiar voice. We hope many local families will come out and enjoy a fun morning of music with their children, all to benefit a wonderful cause," says Music On Hudson director, Linda Megale Thornton.  As a member of the TCCC Program Committee, as well as Volunteer and Hospitality Coordinator, Ms. Thornton is pleased to announce that concert proceeds will go towards bringing quality children's programs to TCCC.  

The Tompkins Corners Cultural Center is a nonprofit organization formed in 2014, located in the historic Tompkins Corners Methodist Church in Putnam Valley, NY. Their goal is to bring tradition, the arts, and community together by providing the public with concerts, plays, festivals, exhibitions, and other events featuring local and visiting visual and performing artists.

Music Together® is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement curriculum for children between birth and grade two, and the adults who love them. Originally offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.
