TorQ Percussion Quartet presents "New Manoeuvers"
TorQ Percussion Quartet presents the final concert of our 2012-2013 concert series, "New Manoeuvers". A compelling combination of percussion and dance, this concert takes some music for percussion music - both new and well-known - and pairs it with dynamic, contemporary dance, specially created for this project by some of Canada's brightest young choreographers.
Program:
James Rolfe, "Why will you?" (World premiere) / Choreography by Jacob Niedzwiecki
Steve Reich, "Mallet Quartet" / Choreography by Louis Laberge-Côté
Daniel Morphy, Untitled world (World premiere) / Choreography by Lauren Van Gijn
John Cage, Third Construction / Choreography by Linda Garneau
We will be presenting three separate performances of this show: 8pm on Friday May 3, and 2pm and 8pm on Saturday May 4. Please join us for our final Toronto concert of the season, and for the announcement of our 2013-2014 concert season!
