Invisible Audience Presents: The Riverside
The Riverside is a band of friends from California, founded by husband and wife duo, Jacob and Lorien Jeanson,
The small city of Santa Barbara is the place that found them and, rather on a whim, unexpectedly started a life together on the road.
On that road, whether performing on a street corner, in a house show, or on a festival ground, the band endeavors to bring back the love of raw live performance. Circled around one large microphone the band relies on one another to find balance in the music. This intimate type of performance is one that has seemed to be drowned out in a world of loud music. With vocal harmony and their folk-rooted stringed instruments, the band paints landscapes and tells their stories.
Through finding the beauty that traveling the country together holds and speaking honestly about many highs and lows, The Riverside strives to be a family that grows together, and a band that helps listeners carry on down this life's winding river.
Beer, wine and other refreshments available for purchase.
About Invisible Audience: In an effort to increase access to great music from Colorado and beyond, Invisible Audience is a new initiative at the Center for Musical Art (CMA) that brings together the arts of recording and performance. Led by recording engineer and music enthusiast, Duncan Taylor, Invisible Audience will launch recording sessions featuring talented musicians from across the nation. Equipped with both high-quality recording equipment and video capability, these intimate performances will be released on CMAs YouTube channel for all to enjoy.
A new partnership with Boulder-based audio company, PS Audio, will elevate Invisible Audience through utilization of the industrys highest quality audio equipment to create high-resolution recordings. Artists will be able to utilize these quality recordings for their own marketing purposes while simultaneously providing the public with access to fantastic music.
Following recording sessions, select musicians will hold an additional, ticketed performance in CMAs Founders Hall. This branch of the initiative- Invisible Audience Presents- is a new take on CMAs community-centric Kaleidoscope series. Curated by Duncan Taylor, Invisible Audience Presents promises to bring exciting new talent to the CMA stage, to promote local musicians, and to nurture the live music scene in East Boulder County. We are thrilled to be establishing new partnerships and investing in new, innovative programming here at CMF & CMA! Invisible Audience promises to be a fantastic, fresh take on our longstanding vision of Music for All, for Life!
