Business Development for Facilitators 24-25 September 2018
We warmly invite you to our Business Development workshop on 24th and 25th September 2018, at Roots & Shoots in Kennington, central London.
Why we developed this course:
We know that facilitation is great for building understanding and collaboration at work, in communities and in wider society - right?
And that, at times like these, collaborative approaches are particularly important - allowing complex issues to be aired, explored and resolved through focused conversations.
And we also know that our facilitation skills could be used to add value in a million and one ways.
But...
Why are we not inundated with work? Why do we find ourselves doing work we dont enjoy - or which isn't in-line with our purpose? Why do we find ourselves charging lower for our work than we should?
Imagine...
if we were as busy as we wanted to be, doing the work we love for the clients who inspire us AND who value our work for them... if we could easily link with other business-savvy facilitators for moral support and inspiration... We think collaborative marketing will help us all hugely - to generate more work and bring more positive change in the world.
Collaborative Marketing
David K. Williams, writing in Forbes, argued that collaborative marketing is the next big thing.
"All the concept takes is a common purpose. When companies come together with a common audience, or goal, or a common mission or interest, they can band together in any number of ways to create an influence and a presence that is greater than the sum of its parts."
We believe this is highly relevant for the facilitator community - and so we've developed a process that will benefit everyone who joins.
Aims of the programme
To create a strong business support network with opportunities to collaborate - building new connections and partnerships To provide a space to share business development experience and ideas, identify what works To help participants find ways to grow their client base and focus To collectively explore marketing systems and approaches in order to generate more leads
Benefits: By the end of the programme, participants will have:
Reflected on mindsets/attitudes to business and money and understand the blocks and drivers Shared their own experiences and successes and gained from seeing others stories Explored the Ideal Client and how to grow the relationship Gained a clearer understanding of target markets, entry points, appropriate marketing channels and promotion approaches Drafted a business development action plan
Advance Preparation (optional, but advised):
In advance of the training, we will send instructions on what to bring and guidance on topics you may want to reflect on before we start.
