April 10th marks an important ALD milestone: 10th anniversary of ALD's first production "Dog Star". Join us for the celebration at Polish Hall, Saturday April 20th, 7:00 PM.
June 7, 2013 ALD mounts its biggest production yet, THE RITE OF SPRING CENTENARY new choreography by Agnieszka Laska to Stravinsky's legendary score, performed in collaboration with the PSU Orchestra, under Ken Selden, live in Lincoln Hall; plus advance lectures and panels on the history of THE RITE..., supported in part through our 10th Anniversary Benefit Ball, featuring:
Sit-down dinner of fine Polish fare from Grandpa's Cafe + fantastic vine selection from Elk Cove Vineyards
Accompanied by live chamber music
Featured artists: Diane Chaplin - cello, Catherine Olson - soprano, Larry Tyrrell - shakuchachi (Japaneese bamboo flute)

In 10 years we've staged over 180 performances in 3 countries on 2 continents with over 250 different dancers, 150 musicians, 12 actors, 10 children and 1 dog over 22,000 have attended at wide-ranging venues, including 5 international dance festivals. ALD prides itself on the extensive number of performances we've staged with musicians aboard (i.e. not in the can).
