Tim McMillan has been performing his extraordinarily unique style of acoustic guitar based music for well over a decade across the globe. His incredibly lively performances, ability to inspire the audience and warped sense of humour have made him a popular live artist throughout Europe, where he now spends the larger part of the year. |
He is joined by ultra-talented violinist Rachel Snow and the duo perform a distinctive mix of musical styles including fingerstyle guitar, Celtic rock, folk, metal & jazz. Tim and Rachels shows are filled with hilarious tales of life in the Australian bush, athletic guitar stunts and melodic songwriting.
In his home country Australia, Tim has won numerous awards including: The Maton Young Guitarist of the Year and Cole Clark Guitar Award (for Best Instrumentalist)
In 2015, he was voted by Australian Guitar Magazine as one of the top 25 guitarists.
The past years have seen Tim sharing the stage with guitar legends Al Di Meola, Dominic Miller (Sting), Metallicas Rob Trujillo & Phil Campbell of Motörhead. Most recently Tim and Rachel have toured Europe with 90s rockers Ugly Kid Joe with Tim also joining them on acoustic guitar for the duration of the tour.
In 2017, Tim and Rachel released their fantastic album "Hiraeth" to much acclaim, affirming them as innovative and imaginative songwriters / musicians.
