The English Oboe: Rediscovered
This concert celebrates the launch of James Turnbull's new recital disc 'The English Oboe: Rediscovered' with Champs Hill Records. Featuring music by Holst, Vaughan Williams, Rubbra, Walmisley, John Casken, Edward Longstaff and Benjamin Britten, this concert celebrates several English works featured on the new recording that are true gems of the oboe repertoire.
James is joined by pianist Libby Burgess, Matthew Featherstone (flute) and Dan Shilladay (viola) for an evening of English music spanning over a century and featuring some of the most beautiful oboe repertoire.
