ThankCon 2018
It's a movement. It's a conference. It's a community. #getyourthankon
ThankCon is a first-ever, one-day conference on October 10 in Bellevue, WA for people who are committed to the value and practice of meaningful and authentic employee recognition. Our goal is to build community and share knowledge around the critical role recognition plays in attracting and keeping great people and creating a "best place to work" culture.
Professionals will gather to:
- Learn tangible and exciting ways to bring thoughtful recognition best practices into their organization; - Interact with other employee recognition practitioners; and - Be inspired to "Get Their Thank On!"
This groundbreaking event features a keynote presentation with Rebecca Clements, VP of People and Operations at Moz, lunchtime panel discussion with leaders from Fortune's Best Places to Work including Sarah Bartel from Accenture, Tim Russell from Slalom Consulting, and Erin McGillis from T-Mobile, and three breakout sessions on the following topics to help you create a dynamic employee recognition strategy that drives business outcomes:
- Alignment with Organizational Values and Culture with Sprout Hochberg and Arissan Ugles of Seattle Children's Hospital; - Management Buy-in and Commitment with Theresa Kinney of Blue Heron Consulting; and - Communication and Sustainability with Jessica Callahan of Symetra.
*This conference is approved for 6 professional development credits for SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.
Attendees will leave with a toolkit full of actionable ideas, templates, and resources to elevate their company's recognition practices. And it doesn't end there. They will be encouraged to stay connected to the latest trends through the Recognition Roundtable community at bi-monthly meet-ups. In fact, one is scheduled for Nov. 8, Noon - 1:30 pm at PCC Community Markets in Seattle.
ThankCon is supported by a consortium of Pacific Northwest companies that believe in and practice the concept of employee recognition and embrace it as a part of their business strategies, cultures, and employee experience.
