After at 50-concert European tour and another Coast-to-Coast USA run from LA to NYC, Chicago-based cellist, composer and multi-lingual vocalist Ian Maksin is back at Jazz Showcase again joining forces with his long-time collaborator, Romanian virtuoso guitarist Gabriel Datcu!

This time the duo will share their freshest cello-guitar renditions of tunes by Pat Metheny, John Coltrane, J.S. Bach, Astor Piazzolla, Bela Bartok, special tributes to the great Gypsy Jazz duo - Django Reinhardt and Stefan Grapelli, as well as funk and R&B classics from Bill Withers, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Alicia Keys and more. Maksin will also share some of his latest acquisitions from his recent touring: music of Kurdistan, Latvia, Cuba, Eastern Siberia and yet more...
