Sage Sound Singers - "Made In Canada: A Tribute to Canadian Music"
TWO PERFORMANCES! MAY 5th 7PM and MAY 6th 2PM @ THE HUB in ASHCROFT. TICKETS $15
An "explosion," of musical activity occurred in Canada during the 1940s. Subsequent progress has been nothing short of spectacular, manifesting itself in the emergence of world-rank performers and ensembles, and of a large number of professional composers. In light of this tremendous contribution Canadians have made, Twisted Desert Music Society proudly presents: "Made In Canada, A Tribute to Canadian Music. An evening of music written by Canadian musicians and song writers and performed by Ashcroft's Sage Sound Singers Community Choir and Guests. Building on the success of their spring 2017 "Tribute To Broadway" concert, Sage Sound Singers Music Director, Michelle Reid, has created a song line-up showcasing just a small portion of the best of Canadian music, with Kamloops pianist Dimiter Terziev bringing to life the four and six part arrangements expertly sung by Sage Sound Singers. We are also pleased to feature some lovely duets and solos - all by Sage Sound Singers. To round out the evening, some notable guests will make an appearance. The local group Jenny and the Gents will be delight us with a couple of songs from their Canadian repertoire and Cache Creeks Desert Bells Hand Bell Choir will grace us with their crystal clear bell tones. It promises to be an evening to remember and a perfect way to celebrate the coming of Spring!
