WA Rural Pathways to Prosperity Conference: Port Angeles
What skills are needed to be successful in life? What do employers want? Businesses are looking for talent in everything from information technology to health care to natural resources.
Rural Pathways to Prosperity is local, engaging, and interactive focused on helping your community find ways to support rural youth with skill development and experiences to prepare for future careers.
P2P uses a unique model to digitally deliver an expert keynote presentation to multiple sites across the state, followed by locally facilitated action plans and networking. P2P is a two-time national award winning program but more importantly, it is a statewide conference that allows more rural community leaders, businesses and members to work together and with resource providers without the expense of traveling to a traditional conference.
This event follows the Governors Summit on Career Connected Learning Summit and dovetails with the states Career Connect Washingtons goal to link you to increasing resources! The goal is to better connect students to career opportunities available in Washington State, inspiring excellence and a quest for lifelong learning through high-quality, on-the-job learning experiences including apprenticeships, internships and mentorship.
