Mothers Day Concert: "Songs for Mothers and Those They Love"
"This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before."
-Leonard Bernstein, composer/conductor/pianist (West Side Story, Peter Pan, Mass, On the Town, Candide, Wonderful Town, etc.)

This is the first of a series of concerts featuring both local performers and famous stars from Broadway and recording industry.  After this concert, there will also be a free reception to meet the stars!

Michael Estwanik, Founder and President of ASC (American Songbook Concerts), corporate and social (including benefit) producer in 80 countries; founder of The American Songbook Project in NYC which brought Broadway and concert singers and  musicians to schools from kindergartens in Harlem to Juilliard; Founder and President of Telluride (CO) American Songbook Festival producing concerts with Andrea McArdle (Broadway's original ANNIE), the legendary 90-year-old singer Marilyn Maye who was recently featured in a 15 minute segment on CBS Sunday News, TONY winner Karen Ziemba, LA Drama Critics Award winner Jason Graae, and Barbra Streisand (or a reasonable facsimile!)

2. Pilgrim Church (one of Cleveland's most beautiful and historic landmark churches where the Cleveland Orchestra rehearsed prior to Severance Hall)

3. Natalie Blalock - Broadway roles include The Scarlet Pimpernel, regional include Ursula in Little Mermaid at Lakewood's Beck Center, Miss Trixie Delight in Paper Moon at Washington D.C.'s Ford Theatre, shows at Goodspeed Opera House, upcoming this summer - Mama Rose in Gypsy at Lakewood's Beck Center

4. Meg Martinez - recent regional roles include Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins, Marian the Librarian in Music Man, Joanna in Sweeney Todd

5. Rob Albrecht - recent lead roles include Officer Lockstock in Urinetown, Stone in City of Angels, Tony in West Side Story, and Jerry in Full Monty.  He is also an award-winning teacher and drama director at Angora High School in Aurora, OH.
