Natalie Mae & Alex Bosworth House Concert wsg Billy King!
Natalie Mae & Alex Bosworth hit the road again this April to share their voices and tunes with audiences outside of their hometown New Orleans. Harmonizing and playing on each others' tunes, the pair have almost too much fun to be allowed to perform in front of others. Alex's jazz guitar chops add sweet melodies to Natalie Mae's folk-inspired originals, and their sultry and rich voices compliment every tune with ease and grace. With dates in Memphis, Nashville, Ohio and Michigan, Alex and Natalie hope to meet new fans and make new friends. Check out more info at www.nataliemaemusic.com and www.alexbosworth.com.

Doors at 7:00 p.m., show 7:30.

Natalie Mae is a Michigan-born, New Orleans-bred singer/songwriter and folk musician. Her music spans across the genre, from her old-time Appalachian roots to her old-school country and R&B love on guitar, banjo, and piano. She performs solo, collaboratively with fellow local songwriters, and with her band, Natalie Mae & Her Unturned Tricks. While graduating from Loyola University New Orleans, Natalie Mae released her first album of original tunes in May of 2009 Waiting on You (Ind.). Her second album,More Than You Know, (Ind. 12) was nominated by the New Orleans Offbeat Music Awards for Best Country/Folk Album in 2013. Natalie Mae released her third full-length album, Run to You (Fruge Records 17), this past November and has been receiving rave reviews. She has performed at notable festivals and venues such as New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (13), Voodoo Music Experience (10 and 11), Wheatland Music & Arts Festival (16), and The Ark in Ann Arbor, MI (12, 16). Her new album contains a series of love letters to loved ones, a heartfelt and well-crafted album that was produced and engineered by her father in their home studio in rural southeast Michigan. Natalie Mae performs regularly in New Orleans and Southwest
Louisiana, and frequents the midwest folk scene every summer. Her songwriting has continued to strengthen throughout the years and her latest album proves shes still on the right path to lasting success.

Alex began her musical journey studying classical voice and touring Europe with the prestigious Millsaps Chamber Singers.  She was a featured vocalist with the Jackson Philharmonic Orchestra and in 2008 decided to move in another direction and attended the University of New Orleans to study Jazz.  Alex was given a full scholarship to complete her Masters in Jazz Performance  and since that time she has led her group at many of New Orleans' finest music venues, including the grand opening of the State of Louisiana Jazz Museum, the New Orleans French Quarter Festival and Snug Harbor.  In 2013 she began focusing on her songwriting, and wrote jazz-inspired folk tunes that would eventually go on her first full-length album.  Upon the release of her debut album she was nominated best emerging Artist in Offbeat Magazine for 2014. Offbeat had this to say about her: Theres no reason Alex Bosworth couldnt go as far as she wants in the music industry. Her persona is warm and accessible, and her voice follows suitit combines the sultry languor of Norah Jones with Sarah MacLachlans angelic reassurance, a touch of Paula Coles lonesome high end coupled with Alison Krauss well-water clarity.  In 2016 she released an album of standards with Jazz guitarist Hank Mackie funded by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation called "The Night We Called It A Day"  It's been played on NPR's Saturday Night Jazz with Jack Hopke and made it on the first round grammy ballot for "Best Jazz Vocal Album" in 2017.  She is currently working on her next full length album of original music to be released in December of 2018.
