Documentary / Dir: Jake Witzenfeld / Israel / 2015 / English, Arabic, Hebrew w/ Eng ST / 86 min

LGBTQ program  Film will be followed by a discussion led by Shada Diab and Rabbi Rachel Isaacs of Colby College.

What is life like for  a gay Palestinian twenty-something  living in Tel Aviv? Its complicated. In this big hearted documentary from a straight Jewish film director, we meet  three friends who are politically active and assertive about their right to define their own identity and not at all interested in conforming to the expectations of others.  Told with honesty, intelligence and humor, the complex story of an emerging LGBTQ community explores questions of nationality, citizenship, geography, religion, sexual orientation, emotional truth and moral integrity.

"A uniquely Middle Eastern spin on a classic coming-of-age tale." Variety
