This concert follows the Celtic Wheel of Time through songs, folklore and poetry. The Celtic Year begins with Samhain (October 31- November 1) the festival of the Ancestors, upon which Halloween and All Souls Night are based. The year proceeds through Winter Solstice to Imbolg (February 1) which celebrates the festival of Brighid and the beginning of Spring. The year proceeds through the Vernal Equinox to Bealtaine (May 1) the beginning of Summer. Then comes Summer Solstice (June 21st), Lughnasadh (August 1) the festival of Harvest and then the Autumnal Equinox.
