Mans Ruin Roller Derby vs Penn Jersey Roller Derby
Yes, it's true... September means back to school... But do it in style with Man's Ruin! We're playing Penn Jersey in an Old School Roller Derby Game! Come on out and cheer on your favorite skaters as we battle it out with the men and women of Penn Jersey!
Please bring a "back to school" donation. We will be collecting school items to be donated to local schools as the school year begins. THANKS FOR YOU CONTRIBUTION!
For all fans attending the game - MRRD will also be collecting donations for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. ALS is a terminal disease with no known cure and a life expectancy of 2-5 yrs from date of diagnosis. There are only about 30,000 people living with ALS in the United States. Every year there are nearly 5,000 new cases, but nearly the same number of ALS patients pass on. ALS is a disease that weakens every muscle in your body until they become paralyzed. Over time, a person suffering from this disease will lose the use of their arms, hands and legs. They will lose the ability to swallow, talk and breathe. Many ALS patients will only be able to move their eyes to communicate. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries. The costs to families providing for a family member with ALS can be upwards of $125,000 to 150,000 a year. In the end it leaves families not only grieving the loss of a family member, but at a financial loss also.
