INNER SELFIES: New American Art Songs
In the age of social media and the selfie, it is common for people to take pictures of themselves, usually from the most flattering angle.  INNER SELFIES is composed of unfiltered snapshots of our emotional, psychological, and spiritual selves. In this light-hearted but insightful concert, Ian Walker and Milena Gligi will shed light on experiences ranging from the extraordinary to the everyday, using songs that outline elements of our most essential selves.  In an increasingly superficial world, it is important that we continue to explore messy, vulnerable topics and look beneath the surface.

LA-based baritone Ian Walker and pianist Milena Gligi will present a unique brand of art songs, melding storytelling, humor, poetry, classical music, and theatrical performance. Don't miss this evocative and engaging concert featuring music by living composers from across the U.S., including Mark Carlson, Tom Cipullo, Lori Laitman, and Libby Larsen.

Free parking available across the street.  Reception to follow.
