LARK Ensemble is very pleased and excited to announce our next Skylight Series concert at the Corkin Gallery, on January 14th at 7:30 pm. Mark your calendars!
This program, titled 'A cure for Winter', brings us to the southern hemisphere and beyond for a dose of hot rhythm and sultry melody.
It has been our usual practice to feature a guest artist on our concerts. This time we are going it alone; just the four of us. We think you'll be transported by the fabulous music we are presenting - one of Mozart's most beloved chamber works, a fiery duo by Villa-Lobos, Schubert's delightful trio D.471 and an enchanting quartet by Canada's Marjan Mozetich.
LARK Ensemble is - Leslie Allt, Principal Flute - National Ballet of Canada Orchestra Aaron Schwebel, Concertmaster, National Ballet, and associate Concertmaster, Canadian Opera Company Keith Hamm, Principal Viola, Canadian Opera Company Roberta Janzen, Cellist, Toronto Symphony Orchestra
The program:
W.A. Mozart - Divertimento, K 563, for string trio H. Villa-Lobos - Assobio a Játo (Jet Whistle) flute and cello F. Schubert - String Trio in Bb Major, D.471 M. Mozetich - "Fantasia...sul linguaggio perduto"
As always, your ticket includes our delightful intermission snacks and refreshments.
Please join us for an evening of spectacular music and food!
