Gillian Visco is the brooklyn based songwriter behind the dark and nostalgic sound that is Shadow Monster. Using heavy imagery and lyrics to describe her conflict with social influence, the pains of growing up, and the consequences of love-- Gillian is constantly debating the devil on her shoulder. Her voice calls to mind singers like Jenny Lewis, Elliott Smith, and Bright Eyes.
