The Music of George Gershwin & Billy Joel
Avguste Antonov is an acclaimed, dedicated performer of 20th & 21st century American living composers and has performed world and US premiers at venues across North America. He is also the founder/artistic director of Kansas City's newest concert series: Friday Concerts @ Schmitts. His latest recording is titled An American Journey.
His program for Broomfield will include a piano solo of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and several pieces by Billy Joel including Reverie (Villa D'Este), Fantasy (Film Noir), Air (Dublinesque) & Root Beer Rag.
A silent auction will be held prior to the concert featuring beautiful handcrafted items, European prints, lovely gift items,merchandise certificates and more. The entire event is a fundraiser for the Broomfield Library Friends Foundation to help support library programming.
