SPRING FORWARD - Featuring Kara Bliss and Austin Haller
Kara Bliss and band have been reviewed as "a touch of old school with modern sass". Along with Austin Haller (piano), Andy Beaudoin (drums), and Pat Harris (bass), their reinventions of of jazz standards and other finds from the American songbook offer a heady mix of nostalgia and surprise. Familiar favorites unwind and reveal something new, while lesser-known gems are resurrected, polished and held up to the light. The result is a terrific evening of tapping toes, misty eyes, and the very best in music-making.
