Spring is the season to break out of the winter doldrums, and we have just the concert for it. Schumann's "Manfred" overture captures all the renegade romanticism of Lord Byron's stormy poem., while Fauré's Fantaisie for Flute and Orchestra is by turns wistful and spritely. Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 is a romantic manifesto, full of romantic fervor and ravishing melodies. Meet the board and your fellow music-lovers in a free reception afterwards.
