The Original Scores of John Anthime Miller
Glens Falls native cellist, singer and composer John Anthime Miller will present a concert of his original works Friday November 10th at 7:30 PM at The Strand Theater in Hudson Falls.
The selections will include works written during Miller's tenure as Composer-in-Residence for the NYC based theater company Circle Theater of New York, pieces written for the National Theater of Luxembourg as well as other original works for cello, piano and voice.
Tickets are $12 general admission, and $10 for seniors and students.
John Anthime Miller is a freelance cellist, singer, and composer born and raised in Glens Falls, New York. He studied Early Music Performance at McGill University in Montreal and Musical Theater at Circle in the Square Theater School in New York City. Anthime is the composer-in-residence for Circle Theater of New York (CTNY) for whom he has scored and performed The Mountain in June 2014, which was nominated for Best Original Music at the 2015 New York Innovative Theater Awards, Trail of Crumbs in April 2015, a co-production with the Theatre National de Luxembourg and Wellspring for the RADA festival in London in June 2016. Anthimes newest score, Codename Aschan, premiered in Luxembourg at the National Theater in May of 2017.
