Event
extended techniques presented by RenegadeEnsemble
RenegadeEnsemble's winter 2013 concert is focusing on pieces that use extended techniques (but you probably guessed that!), or unorthodox ways of playing conventional instruments. For this concert we are thrilled to feature a companion live action painting by Twin Cities artist Jamie Winter Dawson. Join us in St. Paul's cozy downtown Studio Z for an evening of inspiring music, dynamic painting, refreshments available for purchase, and Q&A with with Jamie Winter Dawson and the Renegades after the performance for their take on the works that were just performed.
At extech, RenegadeEnsemble will be pleased to perform the following pieces: Lilith by William Bolcolm Hovering by Randy Bauer, RenegadeEnsemble's Composer-in-Residence Ursonate by Kurt Schwitters De Profundis by Frederic Rzewski Electra and Iphegenia by J. Anthony Allen Angry Bird by Daniel Nass
This concert will feature the musical stylings of: Alyssa Anderson, voice & spoken word David Birrow, percussion Zachary Crockett, spoken word Solange Guillaume, piano Kyle Hutchins, saxophone Christopher Raddatz, clarinet Stanley Rothrock II, piano
We look forward to seeing you! Meanwhile, come check us out at renegadeensemble.org.
NOTE on the Kid-Friendliness of the program: We welcome patrons of all ages to our performances. Please be advised one piece in the concert, Angry Bird, includes one word of adult language.
