Hailed as a cult hero by The Guardian, Peter Bruntnell has won much critical acclaim over his twenty year career. Keith Cameron reviewing Peter's third album for the NME said: "His songs should be taught in schools", and his 2016 album "Nos Da Comrade" was cited as Mojo magazine's Americana album of the month, followed by a four star review in Q magazine. With touches of psychedelia and nods to alt country, his beautifully crafted songwriting is lyrically rich, telling tales of past and present lives, as well as satirical comment on some more contemporary figures! (His song "Mr Sunshine" the story of a "Presidential golf course" versus a Scottish fishing community, was nominated for UK Song of the Year at the Americana Association Awards back in February of this year) Small wonder that he has many fans including R.E.M.'s Peter Buck, Lambchop's Kurt Wagner and Son Valt's Jay Farrar.
Peter is touring as part of a trio and will be joined by Iain Sloan (Wynntown Marshals, Blue Rose Code) on Pedal Steel / Guitar / harmony vocals and Danny Williams (Black Grape, St Etienne) on Double Bass.

Back by popular demand, this is a return visit for Peter, Iain and Danny to Lodge at Lochside, after their previous sell out concert and it promises to be a fantastic night of world class music!
