FIRST TAKE Trio CD release and Arlen Asher
Lub-dub!! It's Valentine's Day at its best with two swinging sets at Albuquerque's premiere jazz performance space, The Outpost.
FIRST TAKE Trio takes the stage with much-loved and much-recorded guitarist Michael Anthony, applause-magnet bassist Michael Glynn and drummer Cal Haines (also co-presenter with Victoria Rogers). The trio has been filmed for television and their new CD has received superlative accolades in November's "Just Jazz Guitar" magazine (see http://www.victoria-rogers.com/firsttakereview.htm for full Review). The night's second set tributes a man we all love and love to hear play. Arlen Asher joins the trio to perform tunes with each of his array of woodwinds, dedicating his choice of love songs to the memory of his wife Jo. Come out February 14 for an evening that will make your heart sing!
