Peach Fuzzer Presents: Custom Pit Development Training (3 days in Berlin)
Peach Fuzzer Custom Pit Development Training - 24-26 October, 2017.
LOCATION: 2nd floor, Lindencorso, Unter den Linden 21, 10117 Berlin
DATES & TIMES INCLUDED: 24 October, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM 25 October, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM 26 October, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
OBJECTIVES:
The course is designed to be student-centric, hands-on, and intensive. Students will be introduced to the Peach Fuzzing Platform from a practitioner's perspective. Students will be taught how to create custom fuzzing definitions for use with Peach Fuzzing Professional to test proprietary protocols and file formats.
APPROACH:
The class takes hands on approach to learning how to use the advanced capabilities of Peach Fuzzer to fuzz protocols not typically included with Peach. The course content is a mixture of lecture, hands on exercises and labs. Additional labs are provided for advanced students.
The class has a high interaction level between student and instructor. Students are expected to create several working fuzzing definitions (pits) during the lab portion of the class.
The first day will review the Peach UI in depth and examine the different protocols and testing scenarios. From there, we will proceed with custom pit development, with each student developing two to three pits in the course.
STUDENT TAKE AWAY:
Each student will walk away with: -Understanding of what fuzzing is and how fuzzers work -Usage of Peach Fuzzer to fuzz targets using the included library of pits -Fuzzing methodology for both file and network based fuzzing -Understanding of how to write basic smart fuzzing definitions (pits)
ABOUT PEACH FUZZER:
Fuzzing is the technique of finding flaws and vulnerabilities in solutions through data mutation. It is a preferred way for attackers to discover vulnerabilities in systems. Peach Fuzzer is the most innovative generational and mutation fuzzing framework. From inception, Peach was designed to find security vulnerabilities. It has already been adopted by many organizations as their standard fuzz testing platform.
About the Instructor:
MICHAEL EDDINGTON Michael is the principal architect of the Peach Fuzzer Platform. An authority on embedded system security, cloud security and application security, he has worked for leading technology companies including Hewlett-Packard. Michael has participated in a number of open-source security development projects ranging from threat modeling (such as the Trike threat modeling conceptual framework) to fuzzing.
Refunds will be provided up to one week before the training sessions. No refunds will be issued after October 15, 2017.
