School of Rock performs: Sleep vs High on Fire
Sleep is a doom metal band from San Jose formed in the early 90s. Their music is influenced by classic metal such as Sabbath and Iron Maiden, but also takes traces from contemporaries such as The Melvins and Neurosis. After Sleep broke up in 1997 guitarist Matt Pike began High on Fire. Whereas Sleep is stoner, doom metal, High on Fire is more traditional metal with an upbeat, trash influence. You want a killer metal show, here it is!
