Wild & Scenic Film Festival Hosted by Kentucky Heartwood
2012 Wild & Scenic Film Festival hosted by Kentucky Heartwood
The SYRCL (South Yuba River Citizens League) Wild & Scenic Film Festival is the largest environmental film festival in North America. Kentucky Heartwood and Kentucky Mountain Justice are bringing this festival for the first time to Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday, December 4. The festival will run from 7 to 10 pm.
We are proud to be hosting the festival at the Kentucky Theater during their 90th year birthday celebration!
With a growing public awareness for the environment, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival aims to increase this groundswell through inspiring and educational films which hopefully will motivate people to go out and make a difference in their community and around the world.
Kentucky Heartwood has partnered with Kentucky Mountain justice to bring the best of these award-winning environmental films to Lexington in a two-and-a-half-hour film program; a short talk by Carol Judy, root digger and mountain activist; educational booths and some great raffle prizes!
Tickets cost $10. Become a member of Kentucky Heartwood when you purchase a ticket for only $5 more!
