Up & Coming Actors-The Non-profit Organization titled Up & Coming Actors, also known as, UCA was founded by Ashley Zachary and includes secretary Tahirih Moeller, Art director Stacey Patino, Research Manager April Brewster, and Social Media Manager Malik Proctor. UCA is currently venturing into many art forms, in order, to grow creatively with the members of the company. We're an organization that helps aspiring artists obtain proper training while giving art back to the community.
2Sense, Long Beach California's, one-and-only Hiphop/Rap duo, consists of seasoned performers, Malik Proctor (Malik Fahimi), and Christopher Blonski (OG Risen). The pair formed a musical-bond while participating in the theater program at California State University, Long Beach. 2Sense combines traditional emceeing with uncanny melody, creating unique hip-hop music. The group's individual experiences growing up in Long Beach, heavily influence their originality, sound-dynamics, and outsider-sensibilities. Music by 2Sense confronts a wide-range of topics, from quotidian, to complex: love, finances, values, art, human-behavior, politics, social-issues, etc. The group looks forward to live performances of their new demo, NonCents, during Summer 2017. Malik Proctor is a 21 year old rapper, songwriter, singer, Producer, and actor from Long Beach,California. Malik has been creating music since he was six years old. He is a senior at Cal State Long Beach and will receive his bachelors degree in theater arts this fall. He has performed in several plays at Cal State Long Beach including spring 2016's A Cool Dip in the Barren Saharan Crick and 2017's The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin. As one half of 2Sense Malik hopes to spread a message of freedom and community action through his art.
Christopher Blonski recently graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a BA in Theatre Arts: Performance. He studied Viewpoints, Stanislavsky, Meisner, and film-acting techniques under Alexandra Billings, Anna Steers, and Craig Anton; while also developing voice with Master Teacher of Knight-Thompson Speechwork, Andrea Caban. OG Risen was born during the Spring 2015 semester, when Chris attended school full-time (8AM-9PM), and worked a night-shift immediately thereafter (9:30PM-6:30AM). Since Chris hardly slept at the time, he claimed the name, OG (Original God) Risen. He and Malik frequently practiced free-style rapping in the theater building basement, and the rest quickly became history. Chris continues to blossom as a professional actor in Los Angeles, while working part-time, and rapping for Long Beach one-and-only Hip-Hop duo, 2Sense.
