Celebration in Song
"The Tacoma Youth Chorus, Judy Herrington, and the entire TYC staff are a treasure to our community and a gift to hundreds of children." Dr. Geoffrey Boers, Director of Choral Activities, University of Washington, Director of Symphony Tacoma Voices
All of Tacoma Youth Chorus' performing choirs, grades 2 through 12, join together in the final concert of the season at historic First Presbyterian Church Tacoma. Dr. Geoffrey Boers will be guest conductor after spending a year as artist in-residence with TYC. Diverse music promises to entertain and inspire!
We will honor area music educators and mentors for all the ways they teach and inspire our children, and we will bid a final farewell to our seniors, many of whom have sung with Tacoma Youth Chorus for more than 10 years!
Please join us for this joyous afternoon of young people raising their voices in song!
