Yo amo Chattanooga with Huascar Barradas and Henry Linarez
"I Love Chattanooga" is a Culture Philanthropy initiative to partner with the community and cultural sponsors to promote economic growth through culture.
This unique acoustic concert will be housed at Wayne-O-Rama. The gallery space takes visitors through a historical journey of Chattanooga and the music will dress the atmosphere with cultural diversity.
HUASCAR BARRADAS "For Huáscar, for whom everything is music, no boundaries should exist between classical and popular music. For this reason he is considered one of the creators of the Neo-Folklore musical movement. Some of the examples of his particular style can be found in his versions of such classics as Habanera from the opera Carmen, featuring hip-hop performers, drums, electronic loops, and jazz harmonies; in the Bach instrumental suites combined with the rhythm of the Venezuelan joropo; or a funky Ravel bolero imbued with the accents of Caribbean percussion".
HENRY LINAREZ Venezuelan musician from Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Henry's cuatro (4-string instrument) has taken him around the world in a quest for the discovery of all varieties folkloric rhythms. He is also the composer of the first song dedicate to Chattanooga in the Spanish language. Henry's cultural mission is to take the cuatro across the United States and teach others how to play the instrument.
