Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir: "Northern Land and Spirit"
A sold-out Carnegie Hall choral concert doesn't happen every day, but in 2014 the Estonians created just that, the culmination of increasingly popular appearances on prestigious stages all over the world.
This choir is rooted in the centuries-old choral traditions of the Estonian people, who faced down the Soviet Union with the "singing revolution."
The Estonians perform a repertoire that reaches from Gregorian chant to modern commissioned works. For its Tucson concert, entitled "Northern Land and Spirit," works of Tchaikovsky, Sibelius and famed Estonian composer Arvo Pärt are featured.
Tickets are $40. Patrons under 25 years of age admitted free.
