A Night Of Jazz And Americana with Woody Witt and Larry Ham Friday, October 5 at 7:30pm Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church 8300 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas
Performance will include original compositions by Woody Witt and Larry Ham, as well as selections from The Great American Songbook. Joining Woody and Larry will be Aric Nitzburg(bass) and Tim Solook(drums).

Woody Witt, Saxophonist
Woody Witt is an active performer, composer and educator based in Houston, TX. He has 8 CDs to his credit as a leader and has done over 30 recordings as a sideman. Most of his CDs feature original music and have received airplay around the US and abroad. His latest recording, "Pots and Kettles," made the CMJ (#3) and Jazzweek charts. Woody has been a Yamaha Performing Artist since 1996. Woody has established himself as a notable musician in the area and has performed with the Houston Symphony since 1996, backing artists including Ray Charles, Kenny Rogers and Tony Bennett. His musical journey has offered him stints with touring Broadway shows. He has premiered new works that break down barriers between the musical genres of classical and jazz.
Larry Ham-Jazz Pianist
Pianist, composer and arranger Larry Ham has long been a noted New York based jazz musician. He has recently released two critically acclaimed CDs of his compositions and arrangements: "Carousel" a trio recording, and a solo CD "Just Me, Just You" on Arbors Jazz. David Dupont of Cadence Jazz Magazine writes, "He glides over the keys, with every note articulated cleanlyhis playing is masterful." And Mike Neely in AllAboutJazz calls him "a pianist well on his way to becoming a jazz master."
