Eight Strings & a Whistle (Suzanne Gilchrest, flute, Ina Litera, viola and cellist, Matthew Goeke) is excited to return to the Tenri Cultural Institute for our annual November concert. The trio will be joined by soprano Helen Gabrielsen for the World Premiere of "Food" by Dag Gabrielsen. This song cycle is based on texts by Getrude Stein. Additionally, we will present the New York Premeire of "Souls" by Hungarian composer Peter Koeszeghy. Rounding out the program is music of Leonard von Call and Ludwig van Beethoven.
