Credibly one of today's most versatile and innovative artists, Russian born cellist and composer IAN MAKSIN will finally please his Boston fans with an intimate performance during his East Coast mini-tour. Having shared stage with such artists as Andrea Bocelli and Sting and equally fluent in many genres - classical, jazz and world music, Maksin, using the cello as the common denominator, has created his own style by blending many things together in a new way. Music of J.S. Bach, folk songs from his native Russia, rhythms of the Balkans, Flamenco Arabe, Sephardic, Klezmer and traditional Indian music, all magically melt into a unique mix creating an unprecedented cello experience.
