Trigger was formed in Stoneham, Massachusetts in 1975 with Mike McKee (guitar & vocals), Frank Hussar (guitar & vocals), David Kilty (bass & vocals) and Larry Carpenito (drums). In March 1975, drummer John DeChristopher (Melrose, MA) joined Trigger, replacing Larry Carpenito. All band members were high school freshmen, ages 14-15.

In February 1977, keyboardist Paul Bencal (Lynn, MA) joined Trigger. In August 1977, David Kilty left the band and Mike McKee moved to bass guitar, and Trigger changed its name to "Voyager." In June 1978, guitarist Paul "Yogi" Sciaba (Wakefield, MA) joined Voyager, and guitarist/vocalist Frank Hussar left the band at the end of that year.  

In February 1980, guitarist/vocalist Paul Giannelli (Stoneham. MA) joined Voyager as the permanent replacement for Paul Sciaba who left at the end of 1979. In July 1980, Voyager changed its name to "The Features" focusing on original music. In March 1981, keyboardist Paul Bencal left The Features, and the band continued as a power trio.

Original Trigger band members, Mike McKee (bass & vocals) and John DeChristopher (drums & vocals), along with Paul Giannelli (guitar & vocals), continued to perform live and write music as The Features until disbanding in April 1983.

Other guitarists who played in Trigger and Voyager at various periods in time were: Tim Clancy (Melrose, MA - Trigger 1975 & Voyager 1980), Lenny Vining (Wakefield, MA - Trigger 1976) and Paul Andrews (Woburn, MA - Voyager 1979).  

On December 19, 2015, "Trigger" reunited to celebrate our 40th anniversary before a sold out crowd. We're excited to reunite again on Wednesday, November 23rd (Thanksgiving Eve) at a larger venue, Montvale Plaza, in Stoneham. The lineup will include original Trigger members, Mike McKee, John DeChristopher, Frank Hussar, David Kilty & Paul Bencal, plus Voyager members Paul Sciaba and Paul Giannelli, with the addition of our longtime friend, original Trigger "roadie", and Grand Theft Audio singer, Neil Porter, plus Grand Theft Audio guitarist, Paul "Ace" Candilore and special guest, Charlene O'neil Porter.

Grand Theft Audio: Neil Porter, Paul Giannelli, Paul Candilore & John DeChristopher, will be performing an extended set, so it will be a full night of rocking tunes from our High School years. Also on the bill is "Jethro Dull" featuring Chris DeChristopher and Bo Kennedy. There will be more surprise guests as well.
