Cider Swig Cider-makers Dinner
Cider Swig attendees have been asking for a tasting experience to learn more about cider and have a more private opportunity to talk with cidermakers - and we are delighted to announce the addition of the Cider-makers Dinner to kick-off the weekend!
The evening's ambiance, set with beautiful multi-textural acoustic guitar by local musician Rob Rigoni, will revolve around an authentic farm-fresh theme. Committed to using the freshest ingredients grown and produced by our Pierce County farmers and fishers, locally-grown and sourced foods will be proudly paired with select regional artisan ciders.
Each course will showcase epicurean works, by three amazing local chefs, Debra Nozawa, and Sarel and Abraham Zalapa of Tacoma-based Picasso's. Debra, former owner of IsaMira Cafe (Gig Harbor), a LeCordon Bleu graduate, has had a passion for culinary arts since she was in the sixth grade. Twin brothers Sarel and Abraham have over 50 years of experience between them, across which they have been chefs at area notable restaurants such as C.I.Shenanigans, Salty's, and Stanley & Seaforts.
Cider-makers will be present to share tasting techniques and cider lore, explain the process from orchard to glass, and more. Ciders will also be used throughout the dishes prepared. Six small plate courses will be paired to each cider course.
This special night with the cidermakers is limited to 40.
The all-inclusive dinner/tasting experience includes a take-home ceramic cider cup handcrafted by local potter Jordan Meyers. Visit the Cider-makes Dinner on the web, or call (253) 514-6338 for more information.
