Quartets with Guts
Franz Joseph Haydn is is often called the father of the string quartet. Ludwig van Beethoven took this intimate genre to amazing new heights less than a generation after Haydn's death. And now, Composer-in-Residence Kenji Bunch creates a new work for historical instruments. Join 45th Parallel for a program featuring all three of these composers, and hear the warm, organic sound that only gut strings can produce.
Performers include Greg Ewer and Sam Park, violin; Adam LaMotte, viola; and Joanna Blendulf, cello.
