Introduction to Roller Derby Skating
Leeds Roller Dolls is hosting a new skater intake specifically for women 11+ who have little or no roller derby experience.
Each intake is a 6 week course, with one session a week: Sundays 2-3pm. We'll teach you (quite a lot of) everything you need to know about skating skills and tactics for playing roller derby. All we ask is that when you start, you can skate 5 laps of our track unassisted.
The six week course costs £30. We lend you skates and protective kit so you don't have to splash out on equipment until you've decided that it's for you (which you will, because roller derby is amazing). We do ask that you buy a mouth guard, these can be purchased cheaply from most sports shops.
The introductory session will take place from 2-3pm on October 9th, but we'll ask you to come early to get kitted up on the day.
