Behind the Keys
Vancouver Bach Choir Music Director Leslie Dala will introduce and perform one of the most iconic works in the keyboard repertoire, J S Bach's towering "Goldberg Variations" as a fundraising event for the VBC. Published in 1741 in the last decade of Bach's life this work demonstrates his endless ingenuity as a composer and also the expressive, technical and virtuosic possibilities of keyboard writing.
Concert begins at 3pm in the Koerner Recital Hall at the Vancouver Academy of Music (1270 Chestnut Street) with a brief introduction by the pianist.
When? Sunday October 30th, 3pm Ticket sales begin at 2pm, doors open at 2:30pm
Where? Koerner Recital Hall, Vancouver Academy of Music
Tickets-$25 general admission, $10 students with valid ID Available online, in advance from choir members or at the door.
All proceeds to benefit the programs of the Vancouver Bach Family of Choirs.
