Tour De France Celebration: Rouler Manger Acclamer, Thurs, July 12
We just finished our first RIDE+EAT+CHEER last Saturday and everyone had a great ride and fantastic breakfast courtesy of Bastille Cafe. Oh yeah, we also watched Fabian Cancellara power to the win in the Prologue and take the Yellow Jersey. Bottom line - Great event.
A second chance to join us comes up on Thursday, July 12th. Again we have plans for a ride, breakfast and viewing of Stage 11 of the Tour de France. As the riders travel the high mountains from Albertville La Toussuire-Les Sybelles we will be hanging in the back bar at Bastille Cafe cheering for our favorites.
The RIDE+EAT+CHEER schedule is as follows:
7:00 am: Group Ride leaving from Cascade Bicycle Studio (115 N 36th Street, Seattle, WA 98103) and ending at Bastille Cafe.
9:30 am-Noon: Streaming of the day's stage of the Tour de France and breakfast buffet will be served at Bastille (5307 Ballard Avenue NW, Seattle, WA 98107)
Cost: $18 advance, $25 day-of Tickets available at Cascade Bicycle Studio, Bastille and Brown Paper Tickets.
Bike Parking: A designated area will be set up for bike parking. Bringing your own lock is strongly suggested.
Group Ride: We roll promptly from CBS at 7:00 am. The pace will roll along at 16 to 17 mph, controlled by CBS staff, and finish about two hours later at Bastille. Everyone is welcome, and we have a "everyone stays together" policy. Helmets required.
Mavic Wheel Demo: Added French Bonus: Mavic's demo rig will be at Cascade Bicycle Studio Wednesday July 11th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm to check out demo wheels for Thursday's ride.
They will also be at the start of the ride on Thursday. Riders must leave their own wheels with Mavic and they will be transferred to Bastille on Thursday for pick up after the ride.
