The world premiere of The Man Who Married Himself, is a stunning, South Asian-inspired masque, created by composer Juliet Palmer & librettist Anna Chatterton. Based on a traditional Karnataka folk tale, this is a powerful & timely story about choosing to reject or embrace the different layers of oneself: the feminine & the masculine, the beautiful & the ugly. Captivatingly told through music, words & movement, the production will feature: Singers Scott Belluz, Subiksha Rangarajan and Alex Samaras Dancers from Torontos innovative dance company InDance, which blends South Asian & Western dance traditions An orchestra combining Baroque & traditional South Asian instruments Directed & choreographed by Hari Krishnan.
